For years, I searched endlessly for a body lotion that didn’t leave my skin feeling irritated, itchy, congested, or overwhelmed. Like so many of us with highly reactive skin, I spent countless hours reading labels, researching products, and hoping the next bottle would finally be the one. When the single lotion that actually worked for me was discontinued, it changed how I viewed skincare altogether.

That challenge is exactly where the story of Gentlea begins.

The name Gentlea is deeply personal, inspired by the word gently and by tea. Growing up, tea represented comfort, care, and a chance to reset. Whether I was sharing a cup during conversations with family or enjoying a quiet morning alone, there was something incredibly reassuring about wrapping my hands around a warm mug. It felt like a hug—a reminder that I was cared for, supported, and deserving of a little comfort.

That same feeling of comfort, reassurance, and care is what I hope Gentlea brings to your skincare experience.

As a designer, much of my career has been
spent researching, asking questions, and solving problems. Looking closely at the beauty industry, I realized I wasn't alone in my frustration. So many people are exhausted by products that are almost right—too heavy, too irritating, or simply not built for reactive skin.

I created Gentlea with a very different philosophy: thoughtful skincare for skin that needs less.

Gentlea is a lightweight, fragrance-free body lotion focused entirely on breathable hydration, carefully selected emollients, and pure comfort—minus the heaviness that sensitive skin struggles to tolerate. No added fragrance. No overly complicated blends. Just calm, wearable hydration designed to support skin that feels overstimulated or easily overwhelmed.

Skincare shouldn't feel like a constant, exhausting cycle of reacting, recovering, and starting over. It should feel like a comfortable hug for your skin—one that allows you to finally breathe easy and relax.
